(ANSA) - TOKYO, MAY 06 - The Tokyo Stock Exchange starts the first session of the week up after the long holiday break of the Golden Week, with investors showing confidence based on the signals coming so far from the quarterly season.
The benchmark Nikkei index marks an increase of 0.68% to 29.009.10, and a gain of 196 points.
On the foreign exchange market, the yen is stable against the dollar at 109.20, and at 131.10 against the euro.
