There have been many people in history who have been given the definition of "dwarf" and also those who have been given the definition of "huge" due to body dimensions.
But it turns out that there was only one person in history who met these two definitions during his lifetime.
The scientific website iflscience presented the story of Adam Renier, who was born in 1899 to parents of a completely average height.
When he grew up and became a young boy, even then it was clear that his body size was smaller than that of an average person.
During the First World War, the Austrian army did not recruit him due to his height which was then a little over a meter and 20 centimeters.
Renier was defined as a dwarf, so a few years later he nevertheless tried to enlist in the army again at the age of 20, and was rejected again because he was less than 1.40 meters tall.

However, medical tests have shown that Renier has very large hands and feet in relation to his body size.
Then, at the age of 21, at a time when most humans stop growing and growing - Renier began a burst of growth until at the age of 32 he reached a height of two meters and twenty centimeters.
Renier, who until recently was too small to enlist in the military, has become a giant who towers above anyone he meets.
In the early 1930s, Renier was examined by a specialist doctor who diagnosed him with a disease called acromegaly, a disease caused by overactivity of the growth hormone.
His huge hands and feet were part of the symptoms of the disease, as was his excessive exhaustion.
Once a dwarf - and once a giant

The medical staff determined that what was causing this syndrome was a tumor that put pressure on his pituitary gland.
Doctors operated on him to remove the tumor in the hope that it would prevent him from continuing to grow and that is indeed what happened and his height remained stable, but his spine began to warp - which means he actually continued to grow.

The curvature of his back continued to a point where he could not walk on his own.
His vision and hearing were impaired and he eventually died at the age of only 51 at a height of 2.34 meters (the tallest person in Austria at the time).
To this day, no other person in history has answered both the definition of a dwarf and the definition of a giant during his lifetime.
