(ANSA) - MILAN, MAY 28 - Carla Fracci's coffin has arrived at the La Scala theater in Milan, where the funeral home has been set up in the foyer.
The superintendent Dominique Meyer and the mayor of Milan Giuseppe Sala welcomed him.
Over a hundred people applauded the star of the dance several times and prolonged at the arrival of the hearse.
This morning at 11, people were already in line for the last farewell, waiting behind the barriers set up outside the theater.
A long applause also welcomed the coffin inside the foyer, by the theater corps de ballet, the students of the Academy, the staff of the Foundation, present the director of the corps de ballet, Manuel Legris, the music director Riccardo Chailky. The coffin, covered with white roses, entered the foyer accompanied by the music of a quartet.
On the left of the coffin, set up inside the foyer of the Scala, some chairs have been arranged for CarlaFracci's family: in addition to her husband and son, there is also her sister and grandchildren. The quartet played for the great étoile the pieces Crisanthemes by Puccini and then an adagio by Mozart, Adagio dalquartetto con clarinet.
