The title chosen by the weekly for its May 26 edition outraged LGBT + rights groups and made the government react.

is once again under fire from critics.

In its edition published on Thursday, the magazine headlines "

Le delirium transgender

", followed by the subtitle "

How the lobbies instrumentalize sex change

".

A choice of words condemned by activist associations for the rights of transgender people, who have taken legal action.

In a press release, the associations Mousse, STOP homophobie and Adheos announce that they are filing a complaint for “

insult on the grounds of gender identity

”.

Étienne Deshoulières, the lawyer appointed by these associations, believes that the terms used “

refer to a recent past where transidentities were qualified as mental illness

”.
