Sony has decided, once again, not to participate in the E3 show. The Japanese giant will communicate on its next video games on the date that it will have decided itself. But its shadow will hang over the event this weekend given its weight on the industry. In seven years, Sony has sold more than 115 million copies of its PlayStation 4 console. Its 2020 turnover is 22 billion euros, up 30%. Its PlayStation 5, released in November, got off to a record start with 7.8 million units sold. And the Japanese group is determined to make it
"the biggest gaming platform we've ever designed,"
in the words of Jim Ryan, CEO of Sony Interactive Entertainment, in a recent presentation to the group's shareholders.
