Belarus: EU, GB, USA, Canada, 'we support democracy'

(ANSA) - BRUSSELS, JUN 21 - "We are united in our deep concern over the Lukashenko regime's continuing attacks on human rights, fundamental freedoms and international law. Today we adopted a coordinated sanctioning action in response to the forced landing of a Ryanair commercial flight between two EU member states and the arrest for political reasons of the journalist RamanProtasevich and his partner Sofia Sapega, as well as the continuing attack on fundamental rights and freedoms ". Losi reads in a joint note from the EU, Canada, the UK and the United States, which are "committed to supporting democratic aspirations".
