(ANSA) - BOLOGNA, June 16 - On June 19 Francesco Moser turns 70.
A book edited by the sports journalist Beppe Conti is dedicated to the event, who has followed him in every race during his long career.
The volume, produced in collaboration with Azzurra Music and with the preface by Bernard Hinault, will be on newsstands for one month in optional combination with Qn Quotidiano Nazionale, the Resto del Carlino, la Nazione and il Giorno from 16 June, at 9.90 euros in addition to the cost of the newspaper.
Countless victories and goals achieved by Moser: from the hour record at the Giro d'Italia, to the three "Paris-Roubaix" in a row at the world championships on the track and on the road, and many others. In addition to sporting successes, the book seeks out what is the main teaching delivered by the great Trentino cyclist and summed up in his motto: "one step at a time and with your feet firmly on the ground, no goal is unattainable".
Beppe Conti wrote for Gazzetta dello Sport, Tuttosport and Bicisport dealing with cycling, football and skiing, closely following Moser's entire career. He also experienced television brackets as a commentator and commentator for TeleCapodistria and for the Mediaset networks, for the Italian Swiss TV and now in Rai. More than twenty of his books, mostly dedicated to cycling, thanks to which he won the 2006 Coni Prize for non-fiction, while 'Una vita da Pirata', the first after the death of Marco Pantani, has also been translated into Japanese. After having won the Vincenzo Torriani Prize, in 2020 he was awarded the Bruno Raschi Prize by the Sports Stand Commission. (HANDLE).
