Covid: Brazil, the average deaths is the highest since April

Brazil has recorded the highest daily average of coronavirus deaths since April, shortly after exceeding half a million deaths, while the number of infected is approaching 18 million. In the last 24 hours, 1 more have been reported.


(ANSA) - ROME, JUN 21 - Brazil has recorded the highest daily average of coronavirus deaths since April, shortly after exceeding half a million deaths, while the number of infected is close to 18 million.


    A further 1,050 deaths have been reported in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number since the start of the pandemic to 501,918.


   The moving average for the past seven days has been 2,063 deaths per day, the highest since April 1.


    The South American giant, with over 212 million inhabitants, passed half a million deaths on Saturday, in a serious epidemiological picture that, for some researchers, is heading towards a possible third wave.


    The total number of infections reached 17,926,393, including 45,348 yesterday, with an average of 73,200 cases per day in the last week, an increase of 17% compared to 14 days ago. (HANDLE).
