(ANSA) - VATICAN CITY, JUN 21 - This morning, at CasaSanta Marta, Pope Francis met a group of inmates from the Third Prison of Rebibbia, accompanied by the director, the chaplain and some officials, who later visited the Museums Vatican.
The Rebibbia detainees brought the Pope a basket of bread that they had prepared themselves as a gift "for the gift of hope he is offering to us detainees", they told the Vatican media. "Today the whole prison community, with the Pope, has lived a very important experience", says Father Moreno Versolato, religious of the servants of Mary, chaplain in the smallest of the four poles of the Roman prison.
The director of the Vatican Museums welcomed the visitors with a cordial "welcome": "These galleries are everyone's home, here everyone, with their own sensitivity, can grasp 'something' that is worth for their life and can make it better" .
