Solos is a seven-episode dramatic anthology focused on the search for the profound sense of humanity that ultimately unites us all, and on the bonds and hopes it generates. Amazon puts together a stellar cast for a new TV series, profound and unsettling that will make the viewer question for a long time, something that leads to be amazed by the manifestation of that immense universe that is the human experience. Available June 25 on Amazon Prime Video. David Well is the producer and showrunner, who has been tasked with managing names such as Oscar-winning Morgan Freeman, Helen Mirren and Anne Hathaway, Emmy winner Uzo Aduba, Anthoy Mackie, Nicole Beharie, Dan Stevens and Constance Wu. Well said he was enthusiastic about this project, whose episodes will be available in the course of 2021 on the Amazon Prime Video streaming platform. Here are his words: "I am very happy to be able to give life to 'Solos' with a group of artists that I deeply admire. I want to tell stories that speak of bonds, of the search for that common sense of humanity that unites us all". An anthological series that proposes a common theme, that of the rediscovery of the depth of human bonds. All through seven different stories, whose narrative lines do not mix in any case. Seven episodes lasting 30 minutes, for 8 great performers, each focusing on a character who will be the protagonist of a monologue from time to time. Each episode, therefore, will merge science fiction with the typical theatrical dynamics, for an original product that has aroused theinterest and the adhesion of some great faces of cinema and seriality. The names of the characters are also the titles of the episodes, so here is Anne Hathaway in the role of Leah, a brilliant scientist who has discovered time travel but soon reveals questionable reasons for wanting to travel to the future. It becomes a script about the futility of obsession with the desire to change what has already happened in life. Helen Mirren is Peg, an astronaut, in a gleaming red latex jumpsuit, traveling to the farthest reaches of the universe and has a lot of time, perhaps too much, to wonder how she got this far.The writing here also enjoys imagining a future in which seniors will look back with nostalgia to social media imagining how before everything was easier and more detached with the background of David Bowie's Space Oddity while navigating in space. Sasha is Uzo Aduba, a woman now so used to her life as a hermit linked to the pandemic, that years later she cannot accept that the threat is over. Beautiful setting. Anthony Mackie plays Tom a man who has little left to live, who decides to buy a controversial new product, his clone, who promises not to leave his family alone when he is gone, we will see him double in thirty minutes of incredible theater- Otto: Dan Stevens (Legion) in the only episode with two actors,Stevens plays a character who has shady reasons to reverse the memory loss of ... Stuart, who is an immense Morgan Freeman, a man who is supposed to be battling Alzheimer's and who may have lived other lives besides his, looks like a grandfather sitting on a beach while enjoying the view of a futuristic ocean the disease runs its course. Once Otto's true motivation is revealed, his identity is also revealed could, maybe he is a memory thief we will find out. The showrunner is also one of the executive producers, along with Laura Lancaster and Sam Taylor-Johnson. The latter will also place himself behind the camera, directing two episodes. Space also for other prestigious directors such as Tiffany Johnson and Zach Braff. The series will tell through theexperience of individuals the deep meaning of human ties, through space and time and from different points of view, bringing out the unicum of human experience among the most disparate situations, despite the apparent differences and distances. It matters little that the paths of life are very different. Mankind is united by something profound and undeniable, which has been there since birth (
