The two new owners will share the Belgian branch equally, for a total score of 250 million euros.

According to a press release, the sale will be effective at the end of 2021. Before this separation, RTL Group had taken control of the entire capital of RTL Belgium in December 2020. Barely bought, so soon sold.

Yet in the audiovisual world, RTL Belgium weighs heavily.

Its three channels (RTL-TVI, Club RTL and PLug RTL) form the leading television group in French-speaking Belgium.

The division also has radio stations, a streaming site and an information site.
