After an immersion in the pyramid of Kheops, the City of Architecture offers a visit to the Lascaux cave as if we were there. Time to put on a backpack full of technology, a virtual reality (VR) headset and let's go for forty-five minutes of exploration. Teleported to the foot of the Lascaux hill near a campfire, the visitors, six “sapiens” at most, discover their avatars under a starry sky. Everyone has their first name written on the back. After a reminder about the discovery of the cave in 1940 and its closure in 1963, a teleportation tube appears. Everyone rushes into it to go underground. Gathered on a flying carpet platform, the small group finds itself facing an aerial view of the cave at scale 1.The sectional plan is perfect for understanding the sequence of the 235 meters of galleries with the narrow passages, the nave, the apses. We teleport again and here we are inside the “Sistine Chapel” from prehistoric times.
