(ANSA) - BRUSSELS, AUGUST 07 - The EU Commission "will carefully analyze" the two orders issued on August 5 by the first president of the Polish Supreme Court, Malgorzata Manowska, to suspend the activity of the disciplinary chamber, the body that oversees the judiciary at the center of a deep confrontation with the EU over the independence of judges. This was reported by an EU spokesman.
"By August 16, the Polish authorities are required to inform the Commission of the measures taken to comply with the sentence of July 15" with which the EU Court of Justice had rejected the Warsaw justice reform and the disciplinary system of judges. (HANDLE).
