The police in North Rhine-Westphalia stopped an e-scooter driver who apparently did not deal with the rules for his vehicle very well.
The 24-year-old drove on Autobahn 2 at a top speed of just 20 kilometers per hour.
Numerous people sighted the scooter driver on Sunday between Bielefeld-Süd and Bielefeld-Ost in the direction of Hanover and informed the police, as the officials now announced.
Finally, the man left the autobahn again.
Police stopped the trip
Motorway police found and checked the 24-year-old.
He stated that he had only bought the e-scooter the day before.
When driving over the A2, he only wanted to test the range of the battery.
He therefore did not know that he was not allowed to use the autobahn with his vehicle.
The 24-year-old hadn't thought anything of it either, "since he drove all the way to the right and no one honked," it said.
Because the man was also traveling without the mandatory liability insurance, the police stopped his trip.
He had to continue on foot.
