(ANSA) - BEIJING, AUGUST 13 - China has rejected requests from the World Health Organization for a renewed investigation into the origins of Covid-19, stating that it supported "scientific" rather than "political" efforts to find out how the virus.
"We oppose the political tracking, we abandon the joint report" published after a team of WHO experts visited Wuhan in January, deputy foreign minister Ma Zhaoxu told reporters. "We support scientific tracking", he concluded. (ANSA).
