The Minister of Health, Carla Vizzotti, announced that the definitive agreement was signed with the
Pfizer
laboratory
for the purchase of vaccines against the coronavirus.
And he anticipated that
the first 580 thousand doses will arrive in September
.
These sera will preferably be used
to immunize adolescents between 12 and 17 years of age
.
"We have confirmation regarding the signing of a binding pre-agreement with (the laboratory) Pfizer and we were able to advance in a definitive contract for 580,000 doses for September and
the rest of the 20 million doses for the fourth quarter,"
the official explained.
He communicated this at the beginning of the joint press conference with the Minister of Tourism and Sports, Matías Lammens, in which the return of the public to football was also confirmed.
Vizzotti was cautious about the delivery schedule.
He explained that the arrival of the doses will be announced weekly
"depending on the availability of doses and flights

He anticipated that the first shipment would arrive in the week of September 6 and

The rest of the doses until completing the 580 thousand planned for September would arrive in the second fortnight, reported the Presidency through a statement.
