There is news about a persistently disturbed immune system after a Covid vaccination.
You can find out how you can classify this information here.
Health authorities such as the Robert Koch Institute recommend the corona vaccination.
The benefits for the individual and for the general public would outweigh the possible risks of a vaccination, it is said from the official side.
As approval studies and the safety reports of the Paul Ehrlich Institute PEI (Federal Institute for Vaccines and Biomedical Medicines) show, vaccination side effects are mostly temporary symptoms such as pain at the injection site, fever, chills or fatigue.
According to the current PEI safety report, the reporting rate for serious reactions was 0.2 per 1,000 vaccine doses.
Serious vaccination complications include myocarditis or thrombosis.
To the current PEI safety report
Another possible vaccine side effect called ADE became known as early as 2020. According to the Federal Ministry of Health, these are infection-enhancing antibodies (Antibody Dependent Enhancement, ADE), which can result in a violent immune reaction. Not only the infection with the coronavirus itself, but also a vaccination could theoretically result in ADE, informs the Paul Ehrlich Institute. The antibodies formed by B immune cells, which are normally supposed to attack the virus, do exactly the opposite in this case, as the Frankfurter Allgemeine (FAZ) describes the ADE effect. They would make it easier for the virus to enter human cells and thus accelerate the pathogen's multiplication.
ADE aggravates the disease instead of alleviating it, according to the FAZ.
Survey on the subject of corona vaccination
ADE as "theoretical risk of Covid-19 vaccines"
According to the Federal Ministry of Health, the ADE effect was observed, for example, in infections with the dengue virus.
In the case of SARS and MERS-CoV, there are indications that undesirable infection-intensifying antibodies ADE after a vaccination or a Covid-19 disease, if further
infection, could lead to an increased infection in the worst case, it said.
The good news: So far, according to the Paul Ehrlich Institute, there has been no evidence of an increase in infection caused by ADE in animal experiments with a Sars-CoV-2 infection, nor in Covid-19 recovered or SARS-CoV-2 infected
.
ADE has not yet been observed in mRNA and vector vaccine candidates against other infectious diseases, according to the PEI.
The institute conducts research on this topic and describes ADE as the “theoretical risk of Covid-19 vaccines”, as can be seen from the PEI website.
