(ANSA) - TRIESTE, AUGUST 26 - He has invited families and students to join the anti-Covid vaccination campaign, but has been threatened.
An envelope was delivered to him at school on Tuesday morning.
Inside, a print of a photo, probably taken with a smartphone, of the communication sent to the school community with a bullet resting on it in correspondence with his signature.
It happened in Monfalcone (Gorizia), at the Michelangelo Buonarroti high school.
The head teacher, Vincenzo Caico, was taken down.
An episode "serious in itself", the principal defines it, but "made even more disturbing by the fact that certain forms of violent extremism by individuals or groups opposed to vaccines seem unwilling to spare attacks on educational institutions". For the Minister of Education, Patrizio Bianchi, these are "intolerable acts": "This morning I called Caico to express my solidarity and that of the Ministry. of the school that wants to welcome our children in the presence and insecurity. Let's go forward ".
The Carabinieri investigated the incident, to which Caico turned to file a complaint against unknown persons. For the attention of the police also a possible connection with other offenses that the institute received via social media when in June it allowed the graduates who wished to undergo the vaccine directly in the school premises.
