(ANSA) - LONDON, AUGUST 30 - Daily contagions from Covidal fed by the Delta variant in the United Kingdom return to drop below 30,000 after about ten days, according to official data surveyed in the last 24 hours: data lightened due to the usual delay in the collection of part of the statistics referred to the weekend (which generally weigh on the British budget between Tuesday and Thursday). In total, the new cases recorded today stop at 26,476, over 5,000 in less than the last few days, while the deaths also drop from over 100 to 48; and the sum of registered hospital admissions remains at the moment more or less stable under 7,000 patients. In parallel, ivaccines administered in the country are now approaching 91 million overall, with the target of 80% ofentire population over 16 residents fully vaccinated expected within the week and coverage with the first dose initiated towards 90%.
