With the aim that more people join the second edition of PreViaje -and in the middle of a week marked by the Travel Sale-, the Ministry of Tourism and Sports of the Nation announced the

extension of the term

to take advantage of the benefits.

Now,

there is time until September 15

to buy the trips that will take place in

November 2021

and obtain a refund of 50% of the expenses made on credit.

The vouchers can be uploaded on the Pre-trip website until September 20 (the option will be enabled in these first days of the month).

PreViaje is an official program that aims to

reactivate tourism

in Argentina.

The credit obtained for advance purchases under the program may be used between November 2021 and until the end of 2022. Everything will depend on the date on which the services are acquired and the date on which the contracted trip begins.

The numbers

In the first edition, the program had

important results

.

According to data from the Ministry, there were $ 15 billion injected into the sector, 600,000 tourists reached, 100,000 businesses in the sector received card payments, and 13,000 providers of tourist services from across the country participated in the program.

This second edition was launched on August 14, "and is already showing positive signs for the future of one of the sectors most affected by the pandemic," they point out from the agency.

In the first two weeks, 10,000 providers have already registered.

And the results are already beginning to be seen, according to the data provided by the Ministry.

The AlMundo agency, for example, quintupled its billing compared to the first week of PreViaje 2020;

Aerolineas Argentinas almost tripled ticket sales since the launch of PreViaje;

TurismoCity increased turnover by 50% compared to the week prior to launch.

CVC Argentina tripled ticket sales compared to the weeks prior to PreTravel.

And from Flybondi reported that the first week of the program we had a 20% increase in sales.

This week already has an increase of 12% more than the previous week.

How does the calendar follow

It is important to remember that the

schedule of the program

is something essential to take into account to access the benefits.

  • Those who plan to travel in December 2021, have until September 30 to buy their trips and until October 20 to upload vouchers.

  • Those who want to travel in January 2022, will be able to buy until October 31 and load invoices until November 20.

  • Those who purchase trips for February 2022 will have until December 31 to purchase the services with the benefits of the program.

Limits and caps

Another important fact to keep in mind is that to access the benefit you must reach the minimum accumulated amount of $ 10,000 (it can be with one or more vouchers).

There is a minimum amount per voucher which is $ 1,000.

The benefits also have minimums and maximums.

The minimum is $ 5,000 and the maximum is $ 100,000 per person, depending on the service provider: the ceiling for purchases in travel agencies, establishments that provide accommodation, airlines and long-distance bus companies is $ 100,000.

In the rest of the tourist providers, the ceiling is $ 5,000 in total.
