(ANSA) - PARIS, 01 SEPT - The anti-Covid vaccination campaign for the so-called 'third dose' was launched today in France for the elderly and vulnerable, with the aim of compensating for the decline in vaccine efficacy after several months from taking the first dose.
"With this reminder, you will be armed for months to come," said Health Minister Olivier Véran, speaking to a person who was about to receive a third dose during a visit to a Parisian vaccination center.
Addressing the press, the minister specified that 200,000 people have already made an appointment for the dose we are going to tell you.
The campaign launched today in France concerns, in particular, immunosuppressed over-80s and other individuals deemed to be at high risk Covid, such as cancer patients undergoing treatment or patients undergoing dialysis. (HANDLE).
