Sarah Connor has canceled a concert planned for this Friday in Leipzig due to an acute Covid 19 illness.
"Sometimes things happen that you wouldn't want to imagine in your worst nightmares," said Semmel Concerts Entertainment GmbH in the evening in Leipzig.
"The entire team around Sarah Connor is incredibly disappointed and apologizes for the inconvenience," it said.
The singer reported on her Facebook page that one of her younger children and they had tested positive for the corona virus.
"I have long been vaccinated and fortunately only have mild symptoms, so no need to worry." She is now in the process of caring for her unvaccinated child, who has hit it worse, said the 41-year-old.
The concert should have taken place as part of the SummerArena on the festival meadow.
She was "infinitely sad" not to be able to perform there, wrote Connor.
