US army chief, possible anti-Isis actions with the Taliban

(ANSA) - ROME, 02 SEP - "It is possible" that the United States will try to coordinate with the Taliban in Afghanistan to conduct counter-terrorism operations against Isis-K and other terrorist groups: this was stated, quoted by the Guardian, by the Chief of Staff US Army General Mark Milley at a Pentagon press conference with Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin. Milley said of collaborating with the Taliban on the Kabul airport: "Inguerra you have to do what you have to do to reduce the risk, not necessarily what you want to do," saying it "remains to be seen" whether the Taliban have really changed.
