On the move for two days in Marseille, President Emmanuel Macron unveiled his vast plan to support the Phocaean city (at least 1 billion euros in total) plagued by multiple ills, such as drug trafficking, the insalubrity in its schools or youth unemployment in the neighborhoods.

On the security aspect and to fight crime, the Head of State announced the deployment of fiber and 500 CCTV cameras in areas "in need". 8 million euros will also be released to equip Marseille police officers with vehicles and digital resources. 200 additional police forces will arrive in the city in 2022 and the presence of the two CRS companies installed in the city since March will be perpetuated. Finally, Marseille will be endowed with a new police station. Cost of the project: 150 million euros.
