(ANSA) - MOSCOW, 04 SEPT - Bahrain has approved the use of the Russian vaccine against the coronavirus Sputnik Light for irichiami.
This was stated by the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF).
"The Kingdom of Bahrain has officially authorized the use of the Sputnik Light vaccine as one of two possible boosters in the national booster program," RDIF said in a statement.
Bahrain residents can choose between SputnikLight and a dose of the Pfizer / Biontech vaccine for the booster, the note reads. The Sputnik V vaccine has already been approved in 70 countries with a total population of over four billion people, RDIF points out. After authorization in Russia on May 6, the Sputnik Light vaccine has also been approved in Angola, Bahrain, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Mauritius, Nicaragua, Palestine and Venezuela. (HANDLE).
