A good cliffhanger is a Hollywood multiplication table.
In the prime example, someone is actually hanging on the cliff: A car is already halfway across the abyss, tension builds up.
Will the people inside still manage to get out of the vehicle before it tips over?
In real life, such a cliffhanger reads like this: »On Saturday, September 4th, 2021, the handbrake of a classic car failed in Ofterschwang.
As a result, the classic car rolled backwards in an uncontrolled manner and broke through a bridge railing in the process. "
Bride over abyss
What makes the police report from the Allgäu special is the woman who was sitting in the vintage car: The vehicle was a wedding car, the bride was on the back seat when the car suddenly rolled away.
According to the police, it went four meters under the bridge, the rear area of the car with the bride was already over the abyss when the vehicle was stopped.
Luck for the bride: the car hit the pierced bridge railing instead of breaking through.
The bride managed to climb forward from the back seat on her own and leave the car unharmed via the driver's side.
Fortunately, no one was injured.
