1. The applicant does not fit into the team
In order for a team to function well and ultimately deliver the performance that drives the company forward, the individual characters must also harmonize well with one another.
Daily quarrels would only get on the nerves of everyone involved - and probably lead to dismissals quickly.
Therefore, when selecting their new employees, superiors pay attention to whether they fit into the team and the company culture.
And that's a good thing: After all, what use is it to you if you feel uncomfortable in your new job after a few days?

2. Another applicant is better suited
Companies want to find the ideal candidate for the position.
Therefore it can easily happen that another applicant already brings more experience or technical know-how with previous, similar jobs.
But that doesn't mean that you have bad cards with another company in the industry.
When applying, you just have to be in the right place at the right time.

3. The position has already been unofficially filled
Your application documents were rejected without your being allowed to introduce yourself personally?
Then it may be that the post was already taken from the start.
The reason: Some companies
have to advertise their positions publicly

Not a nice affair for external applicants - but unfortunately common practice.
