A building with 16 apartments in a suburb of the Israeli coastal metropolis of Tel Aviv collapsed on Sunday.
The residential building in the city of Cholon was vacated on Saturday after residents heard a loud bang and discovered deep cracks in the walls.
A dramatic video circulated on social media showing the ramshackle house suddenly collapsing.
The police said that the surrounding streets had been blocked.
There were no reports of possible injuries.
According to media reports, a neighboring house was damaged in the collapse.
A resident of the now destroyed house told the news site "ynet" that she and her family were now homeless.
They hardly had time to save their belongings.
"I've seen our whole life destroyed before our eyes."
