Curated by Claudia Cieri Via, the exhibition is divided into nine sections, which show the variety of images of the goddess from the second century BC to the seventeenth century, making use of coins, statues, paintings, but also miniatures and precious volumes such as the De Rerum Natura of Lucretius owned by Pope Sixth V, but also Venus and Mercury present to Jupiter Eros and Anteros del Veronese on loan from the Uffizi Galleries in Florence or The judgment of Paris by Peter Paul Rubens from the Akademie der bildenden Künste in Vienna, or Venus , Cupid and Mars by Guercino.
