(ANSA) - TAIPEI, OCTOBER 24 - An earthquake measuring 6.5 hit the north-eastern part of the island of Taiwan.
Report it to the local weather agency.
The tremor, very strong, was clearly felt in the Taipei capital at 11.16 local time (05.16 Italian time).
The epicenter of the earthquake, according to the Central Weather Bureau of Taiwan, quoted by the Taiwan News agency, was located on the north-east coast, a few kilometers south of the city of Yilan, and at a depth of about 67 km in the earth's crust.
So far there is no news of victims, according to the agency.
