Rila Feinkost-Importe GmbH warns consumers that some of their olive glasses may contain larger pieces of broken glass.
The delicatessen importer and the supermarket giant Rewe, in whose branches the olives in jars are sold among other things, immediately recalled the affected product.
"Despite extensive preventive measures, we unfortunately cannot rule out that individual glasses contain larger pieces of broken glass," says a press release from Rewe.

Rewe: Recall of “Ibero” olives - these products are affected
The item “Ibero Green Hojiblanca Olives in Slices” with the GTIN number 4013200555320 and the best before dates 06/05/2023, 08/01/2023, 08/05/2023 and 08/10/2023 is being recalled.
The filling quantity of the affected glasses is 230g, the drained weight: 105g.
Other best-before dates or other Ibero branded products are not affected by the recall.

Rewe explains that anyone who has bought a glass of sliced green olives that meets the listed characteristics can return the product at any time.
"The reimbursement of the purchase price is guaranteed," confirms Rewe.

The recall of the olives is the second within a few hours that also affects Rewe customers.
On Wednesday evening (October 27), the beverage manufacturer Brandengetränke Schwollen GmbH had to recall three popular soft drinks due to fermentation processes in the bottles.
