Judge Susana Tedesco, of the Buenos Aires Court, gave the green light to the request for the five children (from four different women) of Diego Armando Maradona (Dalma, Giannina, Diego jr, Jana and Dieguito Fernando, the latter of just 8 years) to auction off a long list of assets belonging to the former 'Pibe de Oro', the proceeds of which will be divided among the five heirs.
Among the things that will be auctioned there are a villa in the Villa Devoto neighborhood in Buenos Aires, the value of which has been estimated at $ 900,000, another property in Mar del Plata (auction base value of $ 65,000), three cars, or a 2017 BMW Coupé, another 750 model from the same year and a Hyundai Van H-1 with an initial value of 38 thousand dollars.
Then there is a series of objects that the former Napoli champion kept in trunks in a warehouse. The list includes 13 balls (one is the official one of Napoli) decorated by the Colombian artist Mr Bling and some autographed by Maradona; a letter from Fidel Castro signed by the Cuban leader; 31 books, many of which are dedicated to Diego by the authors; clothes of various types; three boxes with the word 'Rolex' supposedly containing watches and another 14 with the word 'Hublot'; many soccer jerseys (including a red from Napoli, Hamsik and with a dedication from the Slovakian); three cases of trophies and prizes awarded to the 'Pibe'; 4 televisions; a tennis polo shirt signed by Roger Federer; an exercise bike and other gym equipment and more, even a 'Dolce Gusto' coffee machine.
The auction, whose date has been set for next December 19th, will be organized by Adrian Mercado, an agency of the Argentine capital and will be international and via streaming.
Significant participation and a large number of offers are expected.
