“It's good to defend a policeman. Especially in a neighborhood, it is very rare ”. On the market place of the city of Tarterêts in Corbeil-Essonnes, the petition launched by the “Pink vests” brings all the inhabitants in agreement. This collective of mothers from the neighborhood is calling for the reinstatement of a police commissioner, “shelved” in September after having apologized to a mother who was gassed by police officers during an arrest. "We have forgiven him, it is extremely rare for a commissioner to apologize", explains Fatimata Sy, founder of "Pink Vests", describing a "man on the ground", "in dialogue", who knows "to ease tensions ". "We need a commissioner like that in the neighborhood," she insists.

Neither the authorities nor the Commissioner concerned have yet reacted to this mobilization.
The petition has just over 300 signatures.
The "Pink Vests" hope to collect 1,000 by November 6.
