Sometimes, the most embarrassing glitches occur when you have to use the bathroom.
An example of this occurred recently on one of the planes of the Indian airline Air India, on the line between the capital New Delhi and the city of Bangalore in southern India.
The CBC News website reports that the captain needed to use the bathroom, and after finishing his affairs and returning, he found himself locked out of the cockpit.
According to the report, the cause was a mechanical malfunction in the cockpit door lock so that it could not be opened both from the side of the cabin and from inside the cockpit itself.
Thus, the co-pilot was forced to take command of flying the plane until landing at a closer destination.
After landing, the malfunction was quickly rectified, and the aircraft returned to the air, en route to its original destination.
This time, when the captain is inside the cockpit.
