(ANSA) - ASSISI, 07 NOV - The "no Green pass" left from Santa Maria degli Angeli has reached the Rocca of Assisi.
The event took place without particular moments of tension. Only when the march passed in the city center there was some exchange between some protesters echoes is instead in favor of green certification. The participants in the march then sent a collective whistle to the mayor of Assisi StefaniaProietti stopping briefly in front of the town hall. On the eve of the march Proietti had expressed "profound perplexity and concern for this type of event in this particular historical moment". "Without prejudice to the respect for the right to express one's dissent - claimed the mayor -, the municipal administration expresses strong apprehension because, with the increase in Covid cases in recent times, theany gatherings may increase the risk of contagion. In front of the right to take to the streets to express one's ideas, there is the right to health which, in my opinion, comes before any other right. Protesters are free to express dissent and this is guaranteed by the Constitution, claiming the freedom not to be vaccinated, but all other citizens are equally free to choose to vaccinate themselves and to recover their normality ". Proietti had therefore recalled" the general obligation of social distancing and 'use of the mask for situations in which interpersonal distancing cannot be guaranteed or there are gatherings "." Assisi, also in respect of its 54 victims due to Covid - he concluded -,it is not and will never be the city of no vax and no Green pass, but it will always be the city of institutions and hospitality in compliance with the rules ".
