Belarus: EU, allow UN access to stranded migrants

(ANSA) - BRUSSELS, NOVEMBER 10 - For migrants stranded at the border between the EU and Belarus "a solution must be found with UN agencies".

This was written by the president of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, on Twitter at the end of a telephone conversation with the UN High Commissioner for refugees, Filippo Grandi, whom she defines as "good".

    "We support full access by UN agencies to migrants stranded in Belarus," says Von der Leyen.
