Martina Franca driver Antonio Giovinazzi commented on social media about the choice of his team, Alfa Romeo Racing, to replace him with the Chinese Guanyu Zhou
: "I believe in small and big victories achieved thanks to their own means".
Then publishing his first image on four wheels, he explained that he did not want to give up: "This was my first photo on an F1, the last one has not yet been taken".
Alfa Romeo Racing has formalized the arrival of 22-year-old Chinese Guanyu Zhou in place of Antonio Giovinazzi.
He will be paired in the 2022 World Championship with the Finnish driver (ex Mercedes) Valtteri Bottas.
He is the first Chinese driver to race as a first driver in Formula 1.
