(ANSA) - ROME, NOVEMBER 20 - There are currently about three thousand demonstrators who are participating in the sit-in at Circo Massimo.
The participants are almost all without masks. "Liberta, liberty" choirs rise from the square. The demonstration began on the notes of the national anthem. Dozens of tricolor flags are waving. From the square rise choruses "Down the hands of children" and "people like us never give up".
Among the tricolor flags there is also one of the Kingdom of the Two Sicilies and a banner for Trump. One of the demonstrators displays a banner depicting the Madonna caressing a baby sleeping on the world. "I brought it to protect everyone - he says - I am the only unvaccinated in the family".
About a thousand people were expected in the square for the national sit-down "Let's free Italy".
According to the estimates of the police headquarters, at the moment the participants in Circus Maximus would be about 3 thousand.
On the public order front, there have been no criticisms so far.
