(ANSA) - ROME, DECEMBER 12 - Some people have been hospitalized in Great Britain after contracting the Micron variant of the virus.
A British government minister said this, according to the Guardian.
Education secretary Nadhim Zahawi said he could confirm that there are "hospital cases with Omicron".
Speaking to the BBC, Susan Hopkins, chief medical consultant to the UK's Health Safety Agency, said hospitals are "diagnosing Omicron in an increasing number of people entering emergency rooms".
