(ANSA) - VATICAN CITY, DEC 12 - "It pains me so much lastatistica. I read the last one: this year more than last year were made. Weapons are not the way!".
The Pope said this at the Angelus during an appeal for peace for Ukraine.
Pope Francis has asked Ukraine for "a dialogue", hoping that Christmas will bring "peace" to the country.
The Pope then prayed for the victims of tornadoes in the United States.
Greetings also to the Americans who were in Piazza San Pietro to celebrate Our Lady of Guadalupe and to the children of the Roman parishes who brought the Babies of the crib for the blessing.
An appointment that this year is back in attendance after the 2020 stop due to the pandemic.
