(ANSA) - ROME, 12 DEC - In the last 48 hours, authoritative researchers have disclosed a critical vulnerability called Log4Shell that afflicts the ApacheProject open source log4j module, the heart of the majority of applications hosted by servers all over the world.
This implies the presence of "a vast and diversified attack surface on the entire Internet network and, considering its simplicity of exploitation even by unsophisticated actors, this makes its vulnerability particularly serious".
This was announced by the National Cybersecurity Agency, recommending, "given the danger of the vulnerability, to minimize exposure on the Internet by applying the necessary measures to its servers in the shortest possible time".
