IN IMAGES - The Paris 2024 organizing committee has unveiled the first artist's views of the ceremony unfolding along the Seine.

For the first time in the history of the Summer Olympics, the Paris 2024 opening ceremony will not take place in a stadium, but on the Seine.

More than 160 boats welcoming sportsmen and women from more than 200 delegations will parade on the river for nearly 6 km between the Pont d'Austerlitz and the Pont d'Iéna, before a majestic end of ceremony on the Esplanade du Trocadéro.

To support its vision, the organizing committee offers a preview of this unique ceremony.
