For the first time in the history of the Summer Olympics, the Paris 2024 opening ceremony will not take place in a stadium, but on the Seine.
More than 160 boats welcoming sportsmen and women from more than 200 delegations will parade on the river for nearly 6 km between the Pont d'Austerlitz and the Pont d'Iéna, before a majestic end of ceremony on the Esplanade du Trocadéro.
To support its vision, the organizing committee offers a preview of this unique ceremony.
