This is particularly the case for the South-East axis from December 17 to 19, the first weekend of the Christmas holidays. The North and East axes are also affected, according to UNSA.

"There is a multitude of strike notices from Thursday, December 16,"

confirms

Le Figaro

, Fabien Villedieu of SUD-Rail. Another notice was filed from Thursday which will concern

"almost all lines in Ile-de-France"

(except lines L, A and J), he adds. The intercities of the Bordeaux-Marseille axis could also be affected. A notice was filed from December 16 to January 31 by the inter-union UNSA Ferroviaire, SUD-Rail and CFDT Cheminots.

No national appeal but several at the local level were therefore launched.

Among the professions concerned, we find pipe, equipment and sales agents and controllers.

The train switchers were on strike this Monday throughout New Aquitaine.

We must therefore expect many disruptions for the holidays.

"The forecast rate of strikers reaches 70% for the South-East axis"

, for example and the strike will be renewed the following two weekends (from December 24 to 26 and from January 31 to 2), assures Fabien Villedieu.

"Financial recognition"

The strikers deplore a lack of recognition of the work of the railway workers during the health crisis.

“It all started with the mandatory annual salary negotiations that took place on November 17th.

The agreement reached did not obtain a majority signature and we warned the management of the possibility of a strike ”

, explains the trade unionist.

The representative organizations are notably asking for

“financial recognition of the railway workers”

for their involvement during the health crisis and for better working conditions.

"There is still a possibility for management to negotiate and we hope that by Thursday this request for recognition will finally be taken into account"

, notes Fabien Villedieu.
