A combined enforcement operation by the Green Patrol at the Nature and Parks Authority in cooperation with the Border Police and the JNF led tonight to the arrest of two suspects in large-scale construction waste dumping in a quarry under the responsibility of the Israel Land Authority in the Judean Mountains National Park.
The operation began in covert activity about two weeks ago, following intelligence information received about garbage trucks coming from the central area with construction waste and dumping it in the quarry.
Following this, surveillance was carried out in the field including documentation of the offenses.
Last night (Sunday), after collecting the materials and evidence, the overt operation was launched as part of which two Paul Trailer trucks, a backhoe and a private vehicle of the suspect operating the pirate site were seized during the act.
In addition, two suspects were arrested and taken for questioning by the Israel Police and further treatment by the Israel Police and the Green Police.
