A mouse bite at a scientific research institute in Taiwan that apparently led to the infection of a corona virus worker could shed light on the origins of the plague.

It all started when working at Academia Sinica, Taiwan's leading scientific research center, was bitten by a mouse carrying a corona.

Because of the bite, in Taiwan for the first time in about a month a non-passenger infection incident was recorded that came from abroad. .

"We believe the chances of her being infected from a workplace are the most likely," the local health minister told the British Guardian.

The worker was vaccinated with two doses of vaccine and was bitten twice by the mouse and although she felt symptoms she continued to drive on public transport and shop, and only a few days later was a test taken which confirmed that she was positive for the virus.

As mentioned, if it turns out that the bites led to the infection, it may be possible to get closer to deciphering the question of whether the virus leaked from the Virology Institute of Wuhan, the Chinese city where the epidemic first broke out.

Yanzong Huang, a public health researcher at an American research institute, told the paper that if it was indeed proven that the mouse was the source of the infection, then "it would give a second validity to the leakage theory."

The US administration is still divided over where the current corona virus came from, but in recent months there have been growing voices in the administration pointing the finger at the Chinese for perhaps not running the lab properly and allowing the virus to leak during its various studies on infectivity. Artificial its properties.
