(ANSA) - TUNIS, DEC 13 - The president of Tunisia KaisSaied has extended the suspension of Parliament, decided in July, until the legislative elections of December 17, 2022. In a speech to the nation, Saied also announced the start of a series of popular "consultations" on constitutional and electoral reforms which will then be submitted to a referendum on 25 July 2022. Tunisian President KaisSaied on Monday extended the suspension of the parliament, which he decided in July, until the new legislative elections on 17 December 2022. In a speech to the nation, Mr. Saied has also announced the organization from 1 January of a series of popular "consultations" relating in particular to constitutional and electoral amendments which will then be submitted to a referendum on 25 July 2022.
