For your speaker to be recognized by the playback device (smartphone, laptop), you must activate the Bluetooth function on the latter, then go to the settings to pair the speaker wirelessly.

How do I connect my portable speaker via AirPlay or the NFC chip?

If you have an iPod, iPhone, Mac, or iPad, you may have opted for an AirPlay-compatible portable speaker.

This technology allows it to connect wirelessly to Apple devices, and to reproduce audio content.

To do this, simply connect your device to WiFi, then press the small AirPlay logo, from the audio playback software (or iTunes, in most cases).

Audio device options should appear, including your AirPlay compatible portable speaker!

If your speaker uses NFC (Near Field Communication) technology, the process is even simpler: just bring the smartphone closer than 10 cm from the speaker for Bluetooth pairing to take place, and the speaker reproduces your audio content.

How to connect it by cable?

Most portable speakers are also equipped with a jack, for universal connection to playback media.

You just need of course to connect a jack to the audio output jack of your telephone or your computer to use the speaker.

More rarely, portable speakers are equipped with an RCA cable, which is in fact a double red and white socket as we know it on Hi-Fi systems. This type of connection allows you to connect your speaker to a system where to a camcorder for a versatile audio device.
