Use voice commands from the Voice Search or Google Now apps ...
The easiest way to take advantage of it is to open the Voice Search application, which is installed by default on your Android phone.
You can also open the Google Now app, also available by default, and click the microphone icon in the search bar.
... or from anywhere with the OK Google command
The most recent Android phones allow access to voice commands from anywhere, with the "OK Google" function.
For this, your Android device must be updated to KitKat version 4.4 or higher.
Then activate the OK Google function by opening the Google Now app.
Select the Menu icon, then enter Settings, then Voice.
Then tap on "OK Google" keyword detection.
Finally, check the boxes "From the Google app" and "From any screen".
Now that the feature is activated, you can say the words "OK Google" from any app to use voice commands!
Basic voice commands
The voice interface of the Android system allows you to perform a large number of tasks without even touching the screen.
For example, you can open an application by saying the words "Open" and then the name of the app, for example: "Open Twitter".
You can also launch a website in your default browser by saying “Go to”, then its address.
Voice commands also allow you to perform a Google search by saying "Search", then the keywords of your choice.
Use the camera with voice commands
Android allows you to take pictures, only by voice.
To do this, say the words “Take a photo” or “Record a video” to make the phone's Camera application launch and perform these commands instantly.
Communicate with your contacts
The voice interface also allows you to send a message ("Message", then the name of the contact, and the content of the message);
make a call ("Call", then the name of the contact);
and even send an email ("Mail", followed by the subject of the email, then the content of the email).
For further
Finally, the voice interface includes a host of advanced features that allow you to get the most out of your Android phone or tablet without resorting to the touch interface.
For example, you can display a map using Google Maps, find directions, translate text, or perform calculations and conversions.
