Journalist and moderator Ingo Zamperoni becomes honorary professor at the Hochschule der Medien (HdM) in Stuttgart.

As the university announced, Zamperoni will receive his certificate on January 13th as part of his inaugural lecture at the HdM.

As a presenter and television journalist, Zamperoni is one of the most outstanding personalities on German television, said Rector Alexander W. Roos on the award of the honorary title.

The 47-year-old is an excellent practitioner for teaching, and the students can only benefit from his experience.

"I am convinced that it enriches the work of the Institute for Moderation beyond teaching," said Roos.

For the first time in the 2017 summer semester, Zamperoni offered the event "Attention practice: professionals report from their everyday life" at the HdM.

Since 2019 he has been supporting the interdisciplinary master’s offer »Qualification Program Moderation«.

Experience also as a US correspondent

Zamperoni studied American studies, law and history and volunteered at the NDR.

In 2007 he took over the moderation of the ARD »Nachtmagazin«, from 2014 he reported for two years as ARD foreign correspondent from the USA.

He is currently moderating the ARD »Tagesthemen«, alternating with Caren Miosga and Aline Abboud.

Before Zamperoni, the Media University appointed nine honorary professors - including Wieland Backes and Ulf Scharlau, both SWR Stuttgart and Alexander Tsyganenko, Rector of Moscow State University for Printing.
