As soon as the Jourdan store (Paris XIV) opened, the 120 yellow and red Christmas sweaters stamped with Lidl were taken away by customers ready to make a raid.

Thursday, December 16, there were about thirty of them lining up at 8 am to be the first to buy the new "trendy product" from the leader in hard-discount, taking up the codes of the "ugly" American Christmas sweater. .

"Tomorrow, I have a Secret Santa (Christmas tradition where within a group, the gifts are offered at random)", admits Éléonore, customer of the store.

"So it fulfills the function very well, that's why I take it right away," she explains, before leaving at the cash register three sweaters in hand.

"I came here on purpose for this one," enthuses Laurence, she who succeeded in obtaining the last item of clothing available in the size XL department.

“My husband told me, this is the one I want, with the big designs and all the brands,” she adds.

I'm going to take it anyway, even if in my opinion it is a little too big ”.
